At the memorial service, my Dads friends, men, and women, offered their condolences, and kind thoughts about him to me.In particular, one man, Jake, was very emotional about my Dads passing. Jake had been my dad’s best friend for many years, they often golfed together, went fishing, and on occasion went on short trips out of state together. My dad talked of Jake all the time. I always took it as just a close friendship, but once in a while, when I saw them together, I wondered if they were more than just good friends.I took time to comfort Jake and talk with him as he relayed many of his memories of the times he and my dad spent together.As the memorial service was ending, Jake asked if he could see me in the next few days, privately. I agreed, and we set a time.A little more about Jake. He is extremely handsome, with salt and pepper hair, very muscular, blue eyes. The kind of older guy for which I have always gone for.
